About Me

Therapy can be a powerful tool in deepening relationships, moving through pain, understanding the unknown, and tolerating discomfort. My therapeutic work is rooted in an awareness that people have the desire and the resources within to meet their potential. I feel that it's the empathic relationship that I develop with you that generates this kind of self directed change. By meeting you where you are, and helping you to see parts of yourself that may feel inaccessible, we will engage on a journey together that will move you forward in living your life the way that you want to.

I specialize in working with issues of trauma: both easily identifiable traumas and more subtle traumas, such as the daily ins and outs of relationship hurts over time. I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a way to promote healing and clear out charged memories. My work is also steeped in attachment theory, and Pat Ogden and Janina Fisher's Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. In moving through trauma and pain, I incorporate the body and the wisdom and memory it holds.
